世界的ラッパー、カニエ・ウエストは「個人的な理由」から改名を申請しており、先日10月18日、ロサンゼルス上級裁判所にて法的に彼の改名は認められた。
この「Ye」という名前は、彼が2018年6月にリリースした8枚目のスタジオアルバム、『Ye』から来ている。
同年、Big Boyとのインタビューで、彼は「 “Ye” というワードは、聖書の中で最もよく使われている言葉で、聖書では “あなた “を意味する」と語っているが、3年越しの改名の真の意図は計り知れない。

World famous rapper Kanye West has applied for a name change for “personal reasons” and his name change was recently legally approved in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 18.
The name “Ye” comes from his eighth studio album,『Ye』, which was released in June 2018.
In an interview with Big Boy that same year, he said, “The word ‘Ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means ‘you’,” but the true intention behind his name change over the past three years is hard to gauge.
