昨年度は日本を代表するHIP HOPダンサーのRIEHATA がチームディレクターを務め、RIEHATA TOKYO *メンバーの圧倒的な強さで初代 D .LEAGUE年間チャンピオンとなった、avex ROYALBRATS。当チームは昨シーズン限りでのRIEHATA TOKYOとの契約終了を発表し、新シーズンにダンスチームGANMIの元メンバーで、現在はTikTok, YouTubeを中心に若者に人気の高いクリエイティブクルーYDK Apartmentのディレクターを務める世界的コレオグラファー、Yuta Nakamuraを新チームディレクターに迎えた。
Last year, Japan’s leading Hip Hop dancer RIEHATA was the team director of the avex ROYALBRATS, who became the first D.LEAGUE champion with the overwhelming strength of RIEHATA TOKYO* members. The team announced the end of their contract with RIEHATA TOKYO at the end of last season, and welcomed Yuta Nakamura, a former member of the dance team GANMI and a world-renowned choreographer who is currently the director of YDK Apartment, a creative crew popular among young people mainly on TikTok and YouTube, as the new team director.

また、新メンバー決めのオーディションを9月に実施したが、新メンバーの情報は昨日までは発表されていなかった。

この動画は、Yuta Nakamuraが街中を歩いている際に肩にぶつかった二人の人物が、いずれもYDK Apartmentの人気メンバーJUMPEIとKooDaという内容の動画で、人気テレビゲームの任天堂スマッシュブラザーズのCMをオマージュした内容となっている。この動画のディレクションを同じくYDK Apartmentのメンバーでカメラマン兼ダンサーのCoDが務めていることから、一部ファンの間ではYDK Apartmentのメンバーが今後もチームに加入していくのではないかとの憶測が立っているようだ。また、今後もこのような形で新メンバーを随時発表していくと考えられる。
YDK ApartmentはTikTokなどで、ダンサー以外のファンを多く獲得しており、このメンバーの参加はD.LEAGUEを一般層に広げるキーとなるチームとなるであろう。
The video is a tribute to a commercial for the popular video game Nintendo Smash Brothers, in which the two people who bump into Yuta Nakamura’s shoulders while he is walking down the street are JUMPEI and KooDa, both popular members of YDK Apartment. Since the video is directed by CoD, a cameraman and dancer who is also a member of YDK Apartment, some fans are speculating that the members of YDK Apartment will continue to join the team in the future. It is also believed that the team will continue to announce new members in this way from time to time.
YDK Apartment has been gaining a lot of fans outside of dancers through TikTok, etc., and the addition of this member will be a key team in expanding D.LEAGUE to the general public.
